Observed date marking system in place on ready to eat sliced deli meat containers, however, date mark on product was for 8 days. Observed date marking on sliced deli meat; turkey sliced 08/19 expired 08/26; turkey sliced 08/20 expired 08/27. Date marking is 6 days plus the day of creation/opening. For example, deli turkey sliced on 08/21 will have a date mark expiration date of 08/27. |
All deli turkey with an incorrect date mark expiration date was corrected during inspection. New stickers with the correct date were placed on packages. No product on hand was observed to be expired. |
