The retail dairy cooler was scanned with an infrared surface thermometer at 47 degrees. The infrared thermometer and the thermometers in the case showed that only one section of the case was the temperatures. Foods in the out of temperature section of the case were probed with a state issued and calibrate thermometer with eggs at 50 degrees, Turkey Franks at 42 degrees, hot links at 53 degrees, and chicken franks at 45 degrees. |
The PIC voluntarily discarded all items requiring refrigeration in this section of the cooler. Items included eggs, cheese, and hot dog style meats. |
