The deli service cooler was scanned with an infrared surface thermometer at 48 degrees. Foods inside the service cooler were probed with a state issued and calibrated thermometer with a prepacked sandwich measuring 49 degrees, a beef and cheese burrito measuring 51 degrees, a yogurt cups measuring 51 degrees, and pineapple chunks measuring 51 degrees. |
The PIC voluntarily discarded all TCS items in this cooler including 3 watermelon chunk cups, 4 pineapple chunk cups, 28 yogurt cups, 7 pints of whole milk, 7 pints of 2% milk, 6 pints of chocolate milk, 8 prepacked sandwiches, 2 beef and cheese burritos, 2- 1 lb packs of butter, 3-1/4 lb sticks of butter, and 7 sting cheese sticks. |

Excessive small flying insects were observed in and around the 3 compartment sink. When the inspector approached the 3 compartment sink a swarm of these insects were observed to fly off of a pint of expired chocolate milk inside the sink. Additionally, a large amount of dead flying insects were observed in slushie mix that was pooled in the drain trains of the non-functioning slushie machine. |
