Observed the grab n go cooler, located on the retail floor, to have food product temperatures greater than 41f. Root cause was an overstocked shelf of sandwiches and the airflow could not reach the products located in the front of the shelf. The ambient temperature of the cooler was 41F. The following products were measured with the inspector's probe thermometer:
Bologna and Cheese Sandwich 45F, Ham and Turkey Sandwich 46F, Tuna salad Sandwich 44F. |
The PIC removed the 3 sandwiches from the grab n go cooler. |
