The retail reach in cooler was scanned with an infrared thermometer at 53 degrees. Products from different shelves of this cooler were probed with a state issued calibrated thermometer. Bacon 43 degrees. Hot Dogs 45. Yogurt 48. The PIC showed the inspector store logs from the date of the inspection. The store logs indicated that this cooler was holding temperature earlier this morning. PIC pulled a curtain down over this cooler to segregate them until they can be pulled from the shelves and discarded. The PIC is also putting in a repair ticket to have this cooler checked and repaired. Reminder that coolers in defrost mode should still be holding internal temperatures of product below 41 degrees. |
