1. The walk in cooler of the convenience has two sections. The section to the right of the door when entering is used for beer and was scanned with an infrared thermometer at 34 degrees. The section to the left of the door is used for both non-temperature-controlled beverages and temperature-controlled beverages. Milk in the left section of this cooler was probed with a state issued calibrated thermometer at 52 degrees. The PIC voluntarily removed these 6 pints of whole milk and 9 pints of chocolate milk from retail sale to be returned to the manufacturer 2. The Fresh Food Fast cooler was scanned with an infrared thermometer and the lower 2 shelves read at 40 degrees. The upper 3 shelves read between 51 and 55 degrees. Items from these shelves were probed with a state issued calibrated thermometer with Lunchables at 49 degrees and apple juice at 63 degrees. The PIC voluntarily removed these items from retail sale. 3. One of the under counter coolers in the Subway section of the firm was scanned with an infrared thermometer at 51 degrees. Cut produce in this cooler was probed with a state issued calibrated thermometer with tomatoes at 52 degrees and lettuce at 55 degrees. The PIC voluntarily discarded all cut produce in this cooler. |
