| Comments | contains live spores of the entomopathogenic fungus, Beauveria bassiana strain BW149. This ubiquitous soilborne fungus is a disease organism of corn borers, other insects, and mites. It acts by contact. Fungal spores attach to the pest, germinate, and penetrate through the cuticle. The fungus then grows rapidly within the pest, causing mortality. |
